Asset Managers Tech, a trade group, believes members of the investment management industry have placed their trust in the COVID - 19 vaccines being approved for emergency use by the United States. We are, therefore, using our resources to create awareness for members of the investment industry of COVID – 19 developments as they occur.
Dr. Stanley Zaborowski, AMT’s medical adviser who serves as President of the Public Health Committee of Hanover Township, NJ, is AMT’s analyst and spokesperson regarding important COVID - 19 medical updates and relevant pronouncements issued by the CDC or other governmental authorities. AMT also relies upon its professional staff to ascertain industry-wide activities or practices that are directly or indirectly related to the current pandemic. As mentioned in our December 3rd Zoom replay, we are suggesting that investment management industry members themselves would be well-served to use their analytical skills to stay abreast of what Governors in various densely populated states are recommending when it comes to the distribution of vaccines. In turn, we are suggesting that firms might consider working these recommendations into internal messaging to all employees of the firm. AMT believes buy-side firms which share basic data and information regarding the vaccines with their employees are contributing to the process of instilling confidence in the overall COVID - 19 vaccination effort being conducted in the U.S.
