INVITATION TO ENHANCE INDUSTRY GOALS
1. BUY-SIDE INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS HAVE EXPERTISE ABOUT WHAT IT TAKES TO GET THE JOB DONE DURING A PANDEMIC.
AMT would like its followers to invite a colleague from another firm to join them at our Zoom meetings. We know investors are anticipating in person contact with representatives of investment managers. It helps to discuss the nature of the challenges of conducting business in these difficult times!
2. ALSO CONSIDER JOINING AN AMT MEETING WITH A COLLEAGUE FROM YOUR OWN INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT FIRM.
Our advice is do not wait until 2021 to talk about how your department will go from "Working from Home" to your new normal. That discussion needs to take place now! Many professionals will continue to work from home in 2021. Some may even "work from anywhere". But there are possibly some formalities to be met. Your department or specialized group within the firm needs to start drawing up its blue print now!
3. WHAT IS THE SCIENCE OF REOPENING AT YOUR FIRM? EVERY INDUSTRY NEEDS TO BE ALERT FOR DATA CATEGORIES THAT ARE NEEDED TO GUIDE DECISIONS. LOOKING AT RELEVANT DATA IS THE BASIS, FOR EXAMPLE, ON WHICH COLLEGES ARE REOPENING THEIR GATES! AND SPORTS ARE RETURNING TO ACTION!
AMT, as a trade group, believes it needs to be underscoring this matter to continue to enhance the image of financial services in a general sense. We invite senior managers at buy-side firms to attend our Zoom meetings with other similar folks in the industry. What are the apparent relevant categories of data that are seemingly necessary for firms that perhaps may have some of their employees returning to office locations in various US cities?
