We cordially invite our buy-side industry colleagues to participate in our latest trade group initiative; namely, a review of "Lessons Learned” concerning industry practices. We are focused on situations that arose in the past
several years as we all dealt with the pandemic.

Examples include some obvious developments, such as working from home and the need for industry members to prioritize seeking treatments to protect their own children who may have needed vaccines or even direct treatment for COVID symptoms.

Regarding children, research professionals in the medical industry actually made certain breakthroughs concerning protecting infants regarding the recent RSV outbreak. In our AMT Zoom video recording last Thursday, 2/23/23, our trade group’s Dr. Stanley Zaborowski took the time to describe a new approach whereby some expectant Moms received RSV vaccines while pregnant. The result was that infants in the womb actually received protection from RSV infection for a six month period following birth.

Finally, AMT also notes that "working from home” is still very popular because most firms want their professional employees to decide when WFH makes sense for the employee and the firm. WFH and other new and beneficial situations that occurred in 2021 and 2022 are clearly now part of a new culture among professionals in the asset management industry.
