-- AMT FORUM / Feb. 17th -- “25 minute special session” on Coronavirus News: It is fair to say our AMT FORUM special sessions are actually part of our own “new normal”. We want to chat about how the pandemic is affecting our business interests, so we can keep ourselves & our co-workers safe. Indeed, that works well for FORUM participants because collectively we all bring a lot of practical considerations to the table. However, it’s also clear that in order for us to talk about COVID, our group needs to address current policy issues affecting our society, along with many top agenda items of the United States Government, both at home and abroad. Thus, at our 2/17 Zoom meeting, following a five minute Overview of Industry News, our group will then have the opportunity to talk about the implications of this week’s broader COVID policy issues that are unequivocally part of each investment firm’s & the industry’s mutual “new normal” existence!
Our take from a not for profit trade group perspective is that while we all wish the pandemic never happened, efforts to stay up to date on its consequences have resulted in a new type of intellectual challenge for all industry members. And this same challenge has also become essential to each firm’s fiduciary responsibilities. Asset Managers Tech’s meetings involving industry colleagues whose interests and concerns regarding the pandemic are aligned in these times are incredibly helpful to each & every meeting attendee!
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Stanley Zaborowski, medical adviser to AMT, will join us at AMT’s Zoom Meeting on 2/17 and provide an update regarding CDC’s school reopening guidelines and the latest scientific data concerning variant COVID strains that are making their way to the U.S. Dr. Zaborowski, a physician, serves as President of the Public Health Committee of Hanover Township, NJ.
