This morning’s Zoom presentation will focus on how the U.S. Government is likely to address COVID – 19 in 2021. Dr. Stanley Zaborowski will be our guest speaker. Dr. Zaborowski, a physician, serves as Chair of the Public Health Committee of Hanover Township, NJ.

Background: COVID – 19 has become “the elephant in the virtual room.” Even when industry leaders talk about the current PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, for instance, they can’t help also referencing COVID – 19.
In yesterday’s live “making sense of the election” video sponsored by BlackRock, the firm’s CEO, Larry Fink, spoke about the pandemic. Mr. Fink indicated that interest rates are low due to coronavirus. Thus, equity securities are in strong demand. Mr. Fink also mentioned there could be more demand for private market products as COVID – 19 is inherently disruptive.
Mr. Fink expressed the need for more healing and compassion in the U.S. He also noted his optimistic belief in the American democratic process. Significantly, he talked about how the United States financial markets are consistently resilient; in this regard, Mr. Fink attributed this resiliency to the industry’s resourceful use of technology.
Finally, Larry Fink called attention to how companies such as Amazon and Walmart are in the midst of relatively large scale hiring notwithstanding the occurrence of the Election and the pandemic, underscoring our country’s enduring penchant for achievement.
Most importantly, Mr. Fink stated categorically that the U.S. will develop solutions with regard to COVID – 19.
